Cinema therapy, also known as ‘movie therapy’ or ‘reel therapy’, is a form of expressive therapy that uses films as therapeutic tools to address psychological and life issues. It can be used as a self-help method or integrated into psychotherapy to promote healing, emotional release, and personal growth. Cinema therapy uses the power of storytelling, imagery, and music in films to consciously/subconsciously influence emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to generate the healing and restoration process of the mind.
